Shoppio
A furniture e-commerce app
Shoppio is not just another furniture e-commerce app; it's a curated experience designed to eliminate the overwhelming choices and uncertainties of online furniture shopping. By focusing on stylish, affordable, and high-quality pieces, Shoppio provides a streamlined and enjoyable journey for users to discover the perfect furniture that fits their space, style, and budget.

The Problem
Finding the right furniture is often a frustrating experience. Users are paralyzed by endless options, doubt the quality of products they can't see, and struggle to find items that match both their style and budget.
Overwhelming Choice
Endless scrolling through thousands of items leads to decision fatigue and abandoned carts.
Unclear Value
It's difficult for users to judge the quality and long-term value from photos alone.
Lack of Curation
Most platforms fail to provide personalized recommendations or curated collections for specific tastes.
The Solution
Our goal was to design a mobile-first e-commerce platform that simplifies furniture shopping by offering a curated, easy-to-navigate selection that inspires confidence and excitement.
Curated Collections
Replace endless catalogs with themed, high-quality collections.
Simplified Browse
Intuitive filters and search make finding items effortless.

Affordable Options
Focus on stylish furniture that doesn't break the bank.

Chapter 1: Research & Discovery
To build a product people need, we started with quantitative research and a competitive analysis to understand the market and identify key user frustrations.
Competitive Analysis
Key Takeaways
The market leaders offer strong features, but none excel in every category. IKEA provides excellent inspiration but has a weaker customer review system. Urban Ladder lacks a fast login, creating friction. Shoppio's strategy is to win by delivering an 'Excellent' rating across the board—combining top-tier curation and user experience with essential features like AR and robust reviews, an area where competitors show weakness.
Chapter 2: Strategy & Definition
The research phase allowed us to define our target users through personas and empathize with their needs, which forms the strategic foundation of our design.
User Personas
Maya, The Renter
26, Graphic Designer
Wants her apartment to look stylish like her favorite blogs, but is on a tight budget and can't make permanent changes.
Goals
Find affordable, trendy pieces and visualize them in her space.
Frustrations
Is overwhelmed by too many options and is worried about the quality of online-only items.
"I want my place to look good, but I don't have thousands to spend."
David, The Upgrader
35, Project Manager
Just bought his first house with his partner. They need to furnish it and want durable, stylish pieces that will last.
Goals
Find cohesive furniture sets and read trustworthy, detailed reviews.
Frustrations
Doesn't have time to shop in stores and dislikes complicated assembly.
"We need good quality furniture but have no idea where to start."
Chapter 3: Structure & Flow
To ensure a logical and intuitive user experience, we first mapped out the application's structure. This Information Architecture (IA) forms the blueprint for the more detailed App Flow Map that follows.

Chapter 5: Final Product
The culmination of our research and design process is a high-fidelity Figma deliverable, available as both an interactive prototype and a view of all screens.
And that's a wrap!
